1. Report Cards
  • Discussion about common ideas for the back page - strengths, growth, strategies - literacy, numeracy, additional comments - achievements, narrative piece of who they are as a student or information that is pertinent - the thought being that all Millgrove reports should be consistent
  • With that and in agreement with Diane Lander, the default setting should be proficient ( thinking that if your student is achieving at the level expected, then the achievement level is proficient.
  • IPPs - Achievement level descriptors are expected at for all subjects.
  • IPPs - If a student is working at on modified curriculum, it is possible for them to achieve exemplary, proficient, or approaching as they pertain to the goals set out within the IPP. For example, if a gr. 4 student's goal is to be reading at the beginning grade 2 level for December and he/she is reading at a mid- grade 2 level, then the indicator would be exemplary. Please speak to Brenda S or Gail F for further clarification.
  • Tech PLCs - google docs- time to make an exemplar for your grade.
  • PAT Results - Individual results - Available November 30th and will be put in the gr. 4 report cards.

2. Education Plan
  • Has been submitted and we are awaiting feedback
3. Technology
- A discussion on how to get all of our students time on the laptops.
- A possibility is converting the Art room into a computer station as it's closer to the students.
- Art materials would be stored in the front behind the display case.

4. Playground
Let's try opening it up to all
Hill - Snowpants a must on the hill and we will follow the Day procedure:
Day 1 - Gr. 1
Day 2 - Gr. 2
Day 3- Gr. 3
Day 4- Gr. 4
Day 5 - K
No treats - on the playground
Soccer - Reinforce play areas - no mixing of grades at this time.
Gr. 4s who want to be with the younger students - Ask them to be a soccer coach rather than referee and take the group to the designated area.

5. Support for Students
Learning Coach - Ali and Cheryl are available to support student learning.
Meet with Cheryl/Ali - can work with you to observe another class or work with your grade level partner.
Expectation - all classrooms will access the Learning Coaches.
Connection Council - every Wednesday at 3:15 or by making another appointment.

8. Christmas Hampers & Food Bank
  • We will again be gathering items for the food bank and Christmas Hampers - Heather O will send out more informaton
9. Social Committee
Special Events - baby showers, bridal showers, retirements -
people plan interested plan these events and it is not the social committee's responsibility to host these events.
Gift Funds - bouquet of flowers for those who are off sick, baby arrivals,
cards of sympathy
10. Gr. 4 Choral
- This group will perform at an Oil Kings Game on - December 2, 2012
